A colourful Installation

We’ve been so excited about installing this space for our Kent Farmhouse project. Our clients adore colour and pattern and asked us to create a new entrance hall which made a real style statement. We retained the original oak paneling on the floor and laid new limestone flagstones to add a lighter feel to what had always been a very dark space. We’ve used a selection of bold fabrics to add colour and create an energetic, youthful feel.

This is a really fun sequence of pics – taking you through from our original concept board, to sample presentation and finally delivery of a stack of beautiful cushions. Look at the mad grin on my face – nothing makes me happier than a stack of new cushions ready for plumping!

We used the iconic Bookend fabric by Christopher Farr here for a roman blind and picked up the colour agin in a simple blown glass table lamp. The lovely detail on the mother of pearl chest adds subtle pattern and the reflective surface bounces light around to great effect.

Love this corner of the hallway – the bench seat is a perfect perch to put on shoes and provides neat storage space for winter woolies. The pink buttons are a lovely finishing touch and this simple landscape painting creates the vignette
